A record 170 SPACs have been floated so far in 2020 – compared with 59 in 2019. SPACs or Special Acquisition Company vehicles are blank-cheque companies which can be used to take a private company public. And there are now several SPACs looking into the aviation revolution, either through electric-powered vehicles, connectivity, freight-tech companies or space exploration.
